I was informed by one of my customers, who actually did some mapping and drilling on the Pioneer site, that this is an actual pen and ink drawing of how the mine looked in the early days. 1928 MINERAL MOUNTAIN COPPER COMPANY - Incorporated (in 1926) Under the Laws of the State of Nevada - Impressive Bald Eagle with wings spread at top. Actually issued to the Mineral Mountain Mining Company for a whopping 135,000 shares valued at $1 each. Signed by George W. Shugers as company president. P. B. 1905 THE ERIE GOLDFIELD MINES COMPANY - Incorporated Under the Laws of the Territory of Arizona - This operation was at Goldfield, Nevada. Signed by Charles N. Miller as president. Mr. Miller was a stock broker and promoter with connections to Cripple Creek, Colorado. Office at Denver, CO. Price - $75.00
1903 THE NEVADA PLACER GOLD MINING COMPANY - Incorporated Under the Laws of Delaware, January 12th, 1903 - Located in Douglas County near Gardnerville, Nevada. Stock certificate issued to Thomas A. Weldon for 1,000 shares. Shiny-gold corporate seal clearly punched into the lower-left. Price - $75.00
1908 THE SUCCESS OF NEVADA MINING COMPANY - Incorporated Under the Laws of the State of Nevada, March 30th, 1908 - Early stock# 13 issued for 10,000 shares worth $1 each. This would have been quite an investment in 1908! Bright, shiny-gold corporate seal clearly punched into the lower-left. Principal Office, SPARKS, NEVADA printed at top. Washoe County. The certificate was printed by Nevada Press, Carson City. Price - $69.00
1907 NEVADA CALUMET COPPER MINING COMPANY - Incorporated May 4th, 1907 Under the Laws of the Territory of Arizona - Located near Buckskin, Lyon County, Nevada. Yerrington Mining District. My research noted that the operation consisted of 2 mines, about 12 miles from the town of Wabuska, where the copper ore was shipped to be processed at the Mason Valley Smelter. Charles E. Hayes, treasurer and John D. Kazar, president. The picture is a copy of an actual photo taken of the workings "One Year Old". I'm guessing the 3 men at the right are the mine owners. Great history! 1911 THE DOGSKIN MINING COMPANY - Incorporated (in 1907) Under the Laws of the State of Nevada - Washoe County, Nevada. This is one of the most unusual company names I have seen. Highlighted with bright red ink. According to my research, there is a mountain range in Nevada named the Dogskin Mountains. 1906 TRAMP CONSOLIDATED MINING COMPANY - Incorporated Under the Laws of the State of South Dakota, March 1906 - The mines were in the Bullfrog Mining District, Nevada. The company was created by merging three large Bullfrog companies (the Denver, Eclipse and Tramp). The Tramp was the largest. Price - $60.00
Early 1900s GRUTT DAVIS MINES COMPANY - Incorporated (in 1908) Under the Laws of Nevada - PRINCIPAL OFFICE, CHAFEY, NEVADA printed at top. Pershing County silver mine organized by Eugene Grutt and H. J. Davis. Chafey was named after E. S. Chafey, owner of the Chafey Mine. The town was formerly called Dun Glen. Now a ghost town. Certificate printed by the Reno Printing Co., Reno, Nevada. Unissued. 1916 NEVADA ORE AND COPPER COMPANY - Incorporated Under the Laws of the State of Nevada - Resident Agent, J. N. Adams. Luning, Nevada printed beneath title and in company seal. Signed by J. A. Wright as secretary and Ernest A. Wright as president. Price - $45.00
1908 ROSEBERRY RAWHIDE MINING COMPANY - Incorporated Feb. 21st, 1908 Under the Laws of Nevada - Resident Agent T. A. Roseberry, Jr. - Principal Office, Rawhide, Nevada (printed to the right & left of the vignette). Issued to Willard Herrington for 500 shares. This operation was located in the Rawhide Mining District of Nevada and worked gold & silver claims on 95 acres of land. Signed by T. A. Roseberry, Jr. as president and Z. Wirt as assistant secretary. Scarce certificate. Price - $89.00
1905 IMPERIAL QUICKSILVER MINING COMPANY - Incorporated (in 1904) Under the Laws of Nevada - Issued to the company secretary, Franklin Bowring. President, Jerome Smith. Principal Office, Carson City, Nevada. Quicksilver is another name for Mercury, which was used to remove free gold from crushed ore. Price - $95.00
1907 NEVADA GOLDEN EAGLE MINING COMPANY - Incorporated (in 1907) Under the Laws of the Territory of Arizona - This operation was located in Humboldt County at Winnemucca, Nevada. 415 shares printed on the certificate, which is quite unusual. Impressive Bald Eagle at top. Price - $65.00
1904 THE HUMBOLDT SMELTING AND REDUCTION COMPANY - Organized (in 1904) Under the Laws of the District of Columbia - GOLCONDA, NEVADA printed beneath title. Most notable is the unique vignette, showing an early ore smelter. The district produced copper, silver, gold and lead, up until around 1910, when the mines played out. I did a Google search and found that the town does still exist - in the 2010 census, Golconda had a population of 214. Stock certificate #31 issued to the company secretary, Geo. Haldorn and signed by E. L. Labadie as president. Humboldt County. Price - $220
1880 THE NEVADA SILVER MINING AND MILL COMPANY - Incorporated Under the Laws of the State of Illinois - Stock certificate issued to J. C. Bennett for 50 shares valued at $10 each. Bright-red corporate seal. MINES IN THE REESE RIVER MINING DISTRICT - NEAR AUSTIN, LANDER COUNTY, NEVADA. Office at Chicago, Illinois. Contains a vignette I have not seen before. A scarce and exceptional piece of Nevada mining history! Price - $395
1908 PITTSBURG SILVER PEAK GOLD MINING COMPANY - Incorporated (in 1906) Under the Laws of the State of Delaware - Esmeralda County, Nevada. In the early days, the rich silver ore was hauled by wagon to the town of Silver Peak, Nevada where is was reduced in small plants. This is known as the Silver Peak Mining District. Eventually, the company constructed a standard-gauge railroad 17 and 1/2 miles in length, connecting the town of Blair, Nevada with the Tonopah and Goldfield Railroad. After the railroad was completed, ore was shipped to a 100 stamp mill at Blair. Today, Silver Peak is not completely abandoned. Instead of gold and silver, lithium is mined there. The town of Blair is a ghost town with only a few stone structures remaining. Vignette on the certificate shows an early view of the ore processing operation. A miner can be seen in the foreground carrying a shovel, pickax and lunch pail. Printed by the Republic Bank Note Company of Pittsburgh, PA. Price - $85.00
1926 REORGANIZED CRACKER JACK MINING COMPANY - Incorporated December 18th, 1915 in Nevada - GEORGE CREMER, RESIDENT AGENT. PRINCIPAL OFFICE, GOLDFIELD, NEVADA (printed beneath title). Stock certificate issued to Ed Lembeke for 1,000 shares. Owned the Great Western group of claims in the Goldfield Mining District - Esmeralda County. Also owned the Park group of claims at Railroad Springs, 25 miles south of Goldfield as well as the Adams group. These were gold and silver mines. Company president was E. P. Junor and H. G. McMahon, secretary. Printed by the New York Bank Note Co.

1907 BULLFROG BANNER EXTENSION MINES COMPANY - Incorporated Oct. 31st, 1906 Under the Laws of South Dakota - Fancy title and bright, shiny-gold corporate seal. Stock# 35. Issued to A. C. Broderick for 1,000 shares. M. B. Kellogg, company president. Operated mines near Beatty, Nevada in the famous Bullfrog Mining District. Nye County. Office at San Francisco, California. 1907 SILVER GLANCE MINING COMPANY OF NEVADA - Incorporated Under the Laws of South Dakota, March 1906 - Office of the Company, Tonopah, Nevada (printed in red at top). The Silver Glance MC was located in the Hannapah Mining District of Nevada. Owned six unpatented claims which produced gold and silver ores. Company directors were H. F. Sheldon, secretary and W. L. Douglas, president. Bright, shiny-gold seal. Certificate printed by Nevada Press, Carson City. Price - $65.00
1907 THE BULLFROG INDEPENDENCE MINING COMPANY - Incorporated Under the Laws of the Territory of Arizona - Stock certificate issued to Wm. A. Burke for 500 shares. Bright shiny-gold ink around the border and in the company seal. Signed by Howard Jones as secretary and C. H. Ellsworth, president. The property was located 8 miles west of Rhyolite, Nevada. It was considered only a prospect with little work being done. Price - $60.00
1913 THE BLUSTER CONSOLIDATED MINES COMPANY - Incorporated (in 1911) Under the Laws of the State of Nevada - JARBIDGE, NEVADA. The Jarbidge District is in northern Elko County. The Bluster Mine was located 2 & 1/2 miles southeast of the town of Jarbidge at an elevation of 8,000 feet. It was one of the earliest mines in the district. The ore contained gold and smaller amounts of silver. H. L. Rummel, secretary and Frank Benan, vice president. Excellent vignette shows a group of early miners beside the "Bluster Shaft". Also notable is that the certificate was issued to well-known banker and miner, George Wingfield. Also known as the wealthiest man in Nevada. His actual signature is on the reverse side. 1907 APRIL FOOL EXTENSION MINING COMPANY MANHATTAN - Incorporated Under the Laws of South Dakota, January, 1906 - Mine located at Manhattan, Nye County, Nevada. From what I could gather in my research, there was a mining claim called the April Fool. Signed by E. McFadden as company secretary.

This gold and silver mine was in the Jefferson Mining District of Nevada. Detailed picture shows a group of early prospectors starting a new mine - Miners cabin in the background. Signed by Lloyd Russell as secretary and Lewis H. Rogers, company president. Main office at Goldfield, Nevada. In 1917, it was purchased by the Round Mountain Mining Company. Printed by the Nevada Press of Carson City.

This gold and silver mine was located in the Goldfield Mining District of Nevada. Nye County. 1887 GOLDEN PRIZE CONSOLIDATED MINING COMPANY - Incorporated November 7th, 1887 - Great name for a mine in the famous Comstock Lode! Issued to Elbridge Dunbrow for 100 shares worth $10 each. LOCATION: FLOWERY MINING DISTRICT, STOREY COUNTY, NEVADA (printed at bottom). Bordering claims were the Lady Bryan and Dreadnaught. Printed on yellow paper by Payot, Upham & Co. Stationers, S.F. Cal. Six assessment stamps on the reverse, each signed by company secretary, C. D. Bennett. Office at San Francisco, California. Price - $120
1909 NEVADA TREASURE MINING COMPANY - Incorporated (in 1909) Under the Laws of the State of Washington - Unique vignette showing rugged wilderness and snow-capped mountain peaks. 100 share stock certificate issued to early Montana senator, Lee Mantle. I couldn't find specifically where in Nevada the mine was located other than a brief notation saying it was in Mill Canyon. Signed by J. J. Stewart as secretary and W. C. Meyer, vice president. Office at Spokane, Washington. Printed by Hamilton Bank Note Engraving & Printing Co., New York. Price - $95.00
1868 HIGHBRIDGE SILVER MINING COMPANY of NEVADA - Organized Under the Laws of the State of New York, March, 1868 - PHILADELPHIA MINING DISTRICT, NYE COUNTY, NEVADA (printed on right border). Uncommon Bald Eagle vignette. Beautiful portrait of young woman at lower-left. Blue stamp reads: Issued for the Purchase of Mining Property. Stock certificate issued to J. W. Donaldson for 50 shares valued at $25 each. "The Highbridge Mine includes several of the earliest locations made on the Highbridge Lode, one of the most regular and strongly marked ore-bearing veins yet discovered in Central Nevada. This lode was discovered in 1865, and through its fine exhibit of surface ores drew at once a large population into the district". Signed by George G. Mitchell as secretary and Dr. William Geller, company president. VERY RARE piece of Nevada mining history!

1907 THE GOLDFIELD MASCOT MINING COMPANY - Incorporated Under the Laws of the Territory of Arizona - Stock certificate issued to Alfred Stretz for 2,500 shares. Mines located in the Goldfield District, Nevada. Signed by J. M. Patrick as secretary and C. M. Eddy, vice president. Office at Denver, Colorado. Price - $69.00
1898 THE GOLD CREEK NEVADA TOWNSITE COMPANY - Incorporated Under the Laws of the State of Colorado - Stock certificate issued to Robert E. Hopkins for 1,000 shares. The first placer gold discoveries were made in 1869 at a site named Island Mountain, Nevada. Later named Gold Creek. Bruno City was just a few miles northeast. By January of 1897, the population reached 500. The mines stopped producing in 1898 and Gold Creek quickly declined. It is now a true Ghost Town. I am told the only thing remaining of this once thriving western mining town is a concrete sidewalk. Signed by Franklin W. Hopkins as company president. 1907 BULLFROG CENTRAL MINING COMPANY - Incorporated (April 1906) Under the Laws of South Dakota - Scarce stock certificate issued to N. P. Reinhard for 1,000 shares. Shiny-gold title. Check out the drawing of a Bullfrog at bottom center. BULLFROG MINING DISTRICT, NEVADA - NYE COUNTY. Signed by famous Nevada mining investor, George Wingfield, who became a millionaire before the age of 30. Price - $220
1865 MOUNT VISTA GOLD AND SILVER MINING COMPANY - Incorporated February 17th,1864 - Spectacular Nevada Territory stock certificate! This ornate old west document was issued to John Way for 240 shares valued at $10 each. Mine located in Humboldt County, Nevada on the Detroit Ledge, town of Unionville, Buena Vista Mining District. An assay of rock from the Detroit Ledge showed 32.80 oz silver and 6.68 oz. gold per ton. Affixed to the left side is a 25 cent Internal Revenue stamp. Signed by John P. M. Kennedy as company president. Main office at New York. Vignettes include a sailing ship, steam locomotive and prospector resting with pickaxe.
